This adventure photoshoot anniversary session in Glacier National Park was so beautiful, and I adored being able to capture these special memories for Cheyanne and Johnny! These two decided they wanted to have an adventurous photoshoot in the Many Glacier area and Big Bend, and when they reached out to me I knew I was down for the adventure! They also have such a sweet love story with their own ties to Glacier National Park!

Cheyenne & Johnny’s Sweet Love Story

Cheyenne and Johnny met and became good friends in high school and started dating their senior year. Fast forward a few years, they graduated high school, both attended Florida State University, drove cross country, explored new cities, continued to learn how to better love one another, and the list goes on. After graduating from college they got married on August 5th, 2017 in their hometown of Pensacola, FL. Then their whirlwind of life began with a honeymoon in Scotland and an immediate move to Los Angeles, CA where they have been for 5+ years.

Part of their self-exploration as younger college students included Johnny living and working in Glacier National Park during the summers of 2012 and 2013. He worked at Many Glacier Hotel and fell in love with the mountains and lakes of the valley. Cheyenne was able to visit and quickly understood why he had become so captivated! Her 2012 visit left an impression on them and they knew they’d return in a special way someday.

That opportunity came 10 years later when they decided the best place to celebrate five years of marriage in August of 2022 was in GNP. They actually planned the trip a year in advance down to every detail (accommodations, excursions, hikes). A month before their trip, Cheyenne realized she wanted to capture the long-anticipated return in a special way. It was really important to her that they document this specific time in their lives. They hadn’t had professional photos taken since their wedding. They decided to find a photographer that could help them celebrate in their own unique way, inside the park, a place that held so many special moments for them!
